About the Owner/CEO-:
Charlotte Vdovychenko
I am also homeless, and was a substitute teacher, with an MBA degree, when I was displaced by COVID19 as well. I immediately took a job at Walmart, but still couldn't afford the high cost of an apartment. I ended up sleeping in my car. I parked at the neighborhood QT Gas Station, because it had clean bathrooms, and the bathrooms were located by the entry door. This made it very convenient., but I thought about all the thousands of people in the same situation, here at DFW, who also needs help. I decided to put a shelter together for us, with the money, I earned from Walmart. I hope you find safety and peace in our shelters, especially at this chaotic time. This is my goal, so please come and make yourself feel at home!
We're a nonprofit organization, hosting individuals experiencing homelessness, since COVID19, 2020. This is an example of how unpredictable our lives can become, especially in these uncertain times. Because this can happen to anyone at any particular time, our shelters will provide you with safety, as well as Peace of mind you deserve. We will help you get back on your feet, by getting you connected to community resources, including social services. We are currently located in the Midcities at DFW, and that means, you will have the convenience of being 30 minutes drive from Dallas and 30 minutes drive from Fort Worth. This makes it convenient to seek employment in one of these cities. We partner with local counties, churches, other nonprofit organizations, and local businesses, to help reach our goals. At safe to sleep DFW, no one is turned away. Should our rooms be fully occupied, our safe to park policy, guarantees you can sleep safely in your RV, Van, or Car, on our grounds, without being disturbed by the police or someone asking you to move your vehicle. This is INSPIRED by California's "Safe To Park" programs, that allow safe and convenient parking space for individuals, who cannot afford the high cost of housing. https://www.safeparkingla.org Since, Safe To Park" has offered convenience to LA and San Francisco residents, we too offer the same services, to ease your mind about accommodation, while you work out a plan for a permanent space. We provide confidential, daily monitoring parking place. You must have proof of valid driving license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
What ever your situation is, we are here for you. We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Using data driven models, we provide solutions that make a long-lasting difference.

What's New at Safe To Sleep 2023
We continued serving our Homeless population through Albertsons' generosity. We received groceries, donated to our shelter. We also sent personalized calligraphic thank you cards to our supporters and donors, to show our appreciation. We continued with the dollar for a shelter campaign. However, we change it, from "a dollar" to "any dollar" campaign., by distributing envelopes to the churches.
What's New at Safe To Sleep 2022?
We are honoring our partners with an appreciation plaque, at the end of each year. At the end of 2021, we decided to honor New Beginnings Fellowship-Midcities with this "Thank You plaque" For being the 1st Church to Partner with us!

The era of the old, dirty homeless man is a thing of the past. The 'New Homeless' are your neighbors, co-workers, family and friends. They are the person you see at your laundry mat doing laundry while reading a library book. They are the family in the car next to you who you think are moving because of all the stuff in their car. They are the clean people on your freeway exit with the look of desperation and humiliation in their eyes. The 'New Homeless' are everyone.
